From my clinical experience - yes!
WHY? Oral restrictions (tongue ties) can cause tension throughout the whole body - because the tongue is connected to fascia that goes all the way to the toes! This tight fascia affects the way in which the body (and muscles) can function.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?
Ultimately tension can make babies 'stuck' and unable to move their body fluidly. Here's an analogy: if you pull / tighten a football net in one corner, it will pull / distort the rest of the net. It's the same in the body: if there is tension somewhere it can pull / distort the rest of the body, thus affecting motor skills (usually rolling and crawling). Good news though - this is where physiotherapy can help!
